Just talked to my dad. My mom is being difficult. ugh.

So, during normal times, my mom takes tons of pills for different things that old people get. Most of them are very important, and must be taken at the right time of day, etc. But she can never remember if she took them or not. Normal people could never remember this, so of course she can't, as she's in her 70s and is starting Alzheimers. The obvious answer is for her to get a pill organizer. People have bought her dozens of them over the last few years, but she flatly refuses to use them. She likes to organize her pills in little baggies, but not in precise amounts, so there's no way of knowing whether she has taken them or not. She is always pulling out the baggies and counting out pills, while asking us whether we remember if she took X pill or not. It drives everyone INSANE. she doesn't know and doesn't care.

Anyway, she's in the hospital for a few more days, and now she's refusing to take pills when the nurses bring them. My mom gets extremely negative. Whenever she has a health problem she is certain she is about to die. So now she's refusing to take her pills, unless my dad is literally right there making sure she takes them. I feel so bad for my dad.
