As vociferously as I was against the invasion of Iraq, I recognized it would have been foolish to simply abandon the operation

And much of my criticism of the actual conduct of it regarded the initial stages, which were botched beyond belief (and the torture issues, as they arose). I believe Obama has made progress towards winding that operation down. With regards to Guantanamo, he's been blocked by Congress (including his own party) and I would not want him to simply unilaterally close it down, so he's taken the only option available to him.
I've stated (I'm not positive here, but elsewhere) that the Libyan operation sets a dangerous precedent and I'm opposed to my own country's involvement in that, but for a dumb idea, it's been conducted in the best possible manner to my view.
