Don't play games that cause people to take you (again, impersonal you) less seriously.
If there are health benefits to eating less or no meat, make them known. If there are serious problems with animal husbandry, make them known.
Unfortunately, the major vegan argument seems to be a moral one and you (again, impersonal) will never get all people on the same page of that moral argument.
