Hey DC folk. Is the Melrose hotel decent?

I may be at a conference nearby in December and it's way cheaper than even the Best Western Georgetown. I'll have no car and the conference is at 2000 M Street NW and it appears this hotel is walking distance.

It seems to have good reviews but the price scares me.
