we are just different people who need things that the other cant provide anymore. She wants to party and do 26 yo stuff and isnt touchy feely and I realize that at 40 the touchy feely that I crave is more and more important as I get older. We dont have much left in common and are finding that LOVE doesnt fix everything.

Oddly we both arent really upset we are sad but we both kind of realized we have been sorta pulling apart for a bit and instead of trying to bend ourselves into pretzels and be even more who we arent and end up in resentment hell we are parting as freinds and truly think we can stay freinds and have a positive relationship.

So those that predicted - guess you were right but for most of this it was great and really did work but damn the growing up part is a bitch.

For both of us I guess because I will now never date anyone under 30 and more likely 34 ever again - I want a full developed person who has their own life and goals and I dont need to protect and care for but that I can partner with
