I hope nothing happens. This is the first time in a long time that I've heard about evactuation plans for us.

We haven't had a real hurricane land here in many years.

I was a kid the last time we had one and I remember going outside, sitting on my skateboard and letting the wind push me down the block. I had a lot of fun but I also didn't live near an evacuation zone like I do now. Stupid East River.

Yeah, I remember one when we were growing up in the 80s. My mom remembered one from the 50s or 60s when she was a kid. It's uncommon there. -- nm - ty97 Aug 25, 08:21
