When you grow up on the prairies, you kind of get blase about big storm

when you get two or three "scary as fuck" storms a year, you get a bit desensitized to them. (though as I think I've mentioned, the house I grew up in has survived two tornados) Last summer there was a great big storm with tornado force winds but straight line (what we call a plough wind) at my parents' place when we were all there - and we're all standing at the window watching pieces of houses roll down the street. Meanwhile, my wife, who's from Ontario and has never seen anything remotely this strong of a storm, is wondering if we've all gone crazy and is trying to figure out where in the house to hide.
