What I would do is not do alimony. Don't set that up as it may never go away. If he wants to help her after the divorce, he CAN if he wants.

Cappy, you will meet another woman someday. I doubt she will be happy about sending an ex alimony.
She won't have a choice, but she won't like it.
Get it all settled up now, and MOVE ON
