Kind of sort of. I don't think the fear is wind, it's storm surge. And the storm is so wide, the surge is stronger than the winds would suggest.

The Weather Underground post at 11:00 this morning said the storm surge is a 5.1 on the 0-6 scale right now, and that even if the storm is below a Cat 1 by the time it hits New England, it should still be carrying a Cat 1 storm surge with it, and may hit at high tide as well.
