that reminds me of when i moved into my last place in B'more. i was leaving for a week's vacation right after i moved in

the landlord's contractors still needed to do some touch up painting and work on the bathroom. not knowing if i had the only key, i naturally left the door unlocked before i went out of town
and naturally they never even showed up during that week to finish their job. amazingly, everything was still in my place even though the door had been unlocked the entire time i was gone
i still cringe thinking about how all my shit could have just walked out the door
