My borther took his younger dog to the emergency vet this morning. Dog was shaking and screaming.

The dog is just under a year old, and my brother's only had him since March or April. Went to the ER vet a couple of months back and seemed to be that he sprained his back (he's rambunctious, I can see this happening) so they put him on painkillers. So we figure that's what this was.

But it seems like it's something else, potentially worse (at least from a treatment perspective). The dog screamed when vet pressed on his abdomen, so they are guessing a problem in the digestive tract. Dog was admitted for tests, including x-ray. Should know in a couple of hours.

The dog tends to eat everything, so it could be something like that. The one thing I have not commented on to my brother -- and this can't be it / I hope this isn't it -- the dog has one of those red rubber kongs. Last night my brother mentioned that he hasn't been able to find the kong in three days.
