The first time I read "Atlas Shrugged" I nearly gave up...

I was really frustrated reading a hundred pages or so and then have the story shift radically to something completely new (and having it happen twice...I think) that seemingly had no relation to what I had just read and invested so much time in.
I almost gave up. But I sensed one of the ideas of the book was about overcoming adversity so I kept up with it.
I was rewarded. But that's just me...
