It's more about Pitt and his production company joining up with Michael Lewis (the author) than this one movie.

Pitt would never have gone near this thing if offered from the outside.
They've already optioned The Big Short as well, Lewis' book about the market meltdown. That one has huge potential if Pitt puts it together.
