More than half of men ages 18 to 64 identify themselves as the primary shopper in the household, but only 24% feel that advertising is talking to them

My wife does not like to grocery shop and so we do it together or I do it alone. But I call BS on the men being the primary shopper. I see many couples doing it together but I dont see too many guys by themselves. I see women alone much more often.

Responses:
That's because advertisers almost universally see women 30-55 as their demographic.

I also question the "more than half" but I wonder if it is inflated by including single-person or guy-only households. -- nm

I don't think that "inflates" it; they're counted legitimately. -- nm

Well if you are only thinking about it in terms of husband-wife households, then it does.
