I thought that might be the case, but figured they could have done most of that internally.
And even with it being the case, having almost every person say how horrible it is, and indicate that many people would most likely leave, should have been enough to get them to consider that there may be a problem with the proposed changes.
You test market a new bag of popular cookies, wanting to know if the bag opens and reseals properly. Most responses state that the cookies now taste like someone vomited up a turd sandwich with mayo, that nobody would eat the cookies anymore, and that the bag still didn't work properly. You don't send them out to market anyway. You continue to work on the new bag, but you damn sure fix the cookies.
Yes, that example may be a bit extreme.
