It's promotional, probably related to the ads that appear on the Tivo menu.

Something like "See a preview of the new sitcom on FOX!" and you click the ad in your menu and the episode plays, I suspect.
If I hadn't noticed that my Tivo was recording something - unscheduled - I wouldn't have realized this was happening.
