Some happy news on a Day of Crazy..

As some of you are aware, my daughter is autistic. She's actually quite social, but she doesn't speak or understand more than a couple of words.
She gets private intervention/therapy but next year she is legally required to be in some kind of accredited school. While there are a couple of good specialized schools in the area, there are only a handful of spots that open up each year. We have been on the waiting list for these schools for more than 3 years now and it was looking like we were going to have to put her in a regular school with an aide. This would have been a very, very sub-optimal solution for everyone concerned.
So to cut the story short--we just found out that she's gotten in to our first choice school for next year! I couldn't be more relieved and happy.
