OK so totally different friends. My friend Ashley wanted me to meet her friend TJ. No romance, just shes divorced too and Ash thinks we both need friends to just hang out with and be cool and just support eac other.

Ok that makes sense. So we were supposed to meet next week for happy hour or something. TJ calls me last night (we have been txt about crap for 3 days) and asks me to come over she needs some advice about some stuff.

I figure ok. Thats cool I dont mind helping.
I get there shes had at least 3 glasses of wine. RUH RO. I meet her kids and we go hang on the balcony. She starts telling me how her daughter doesnt want to go to school. Shes so very pretty and the new kid (they moved here recently) and many of the girls dont like her daughter because shes prettier than them ....and yes that can be true her kid is very pretty for a 15 yo.

I try to help and let her know that with kids (I rasied a daughter) you just need to let her be who she is telling her how cool HS for her wont help ask her what she likes about school to focus on that and support her and ask her what support she needs to get get through the days and do just that.

Then the kids dad calls and they proceed to yell at each other for like 20 min. Hang up and then do it again for 15 more. OMG While fighting she puts her feet in my lap and apparently I was expected to rub them ???

Aftewr the call she jumps into my lap hugs and kisses me and then goes into the house for more wine.

Comes back and then cries for 15 min about having to put her cat down to move here and how she worries about her kids tho they seem pretty great. And how people say shes pretty (she is hot for 44) but she cant see it.

I tryt o pep talk for about 15 min and then after 2 hours there tell her I need to go home and get some sleep work comes early.

Hugs and kisses me good bye

My lesson learned from this....I had not one inclination to jump in and save shit. I could be a friend and pep talk but as good looking as she was NO FREAKING WAY. It felt good that how she was was what I used to gravitate too and there was not a pang of guilt nor incilation to save at all as I drove away hehehehe
