See, I'm crushed after every Yankee loss. I take each game seriously. But I understand your thinking.

In such a long season one loss for a baseball team won't mean as much as it will in football. A losing streak can end a teams season in football whereas in baseball, you're right, most of the time a team can recover and still be fine the rest of the way.
