component or composite? (mine doesn't do component. I run a component in directly to the TV, which is a pain in the ass.

actually, you just reminded me to buy an HDMI cable for my ATV; thanks.)
can you switch whatever is component to hdmi? I would try to run it all hdmi. the cables are like $4 at amazon or MP.
