originally gave me a proposal doing the system to the max (the old owner didn't do everything the system is capable of), with the understanding we can pare back from there to what we need. It was jaw-droppingly expensive considering all of the wiring is done, all the tv's already exist and most rooms already have the speakers and volume controls installed. So I've spent time now researching some of the components (video switchers, amps etc.). I think my head is going to explode.
Still not sure whether all the video switchers are really you get what you pay for (or to some degree like hdmi cables, where most will do what you want regardless of cost). It is all really pushing my technology boundaries at this point as well. This should be . . . interesting. If anybody has any insights on this stuff I'd be interested. Thanks.
