so today is my parents 50th wedding anniversary......

they've been fighting for something like 5-6 years and are only still together because they can't afford to get divorced.

mom and dad have refused to celebrate it for years, which is their choice, but I figure I want to at least let them know I'm thinking about them. so I tried to call and they are both out. I know when I finally do get them on the phone I'll be told "thanks, but don't bring it up", but if I don't call I may run the chance of hearing about how I forgot all about such a milestone. my parents are goofy somtimes.

that's all, just needed to vent a moment. also thought I'd post it inside to see if anyone congratulates the post without reading it
