I ended up purchasing antibiotics in a pharmacy in Kigali. Turned out it's banned by the FDA. No prescription necessary.

just talked to the pharmacist and he sold me the nasty shit. thank Jesus! I was about to spend 25 hours on a plane. No way I would have made it.
and there was no need to ID the bug. :)
