When you call for an end to this type of rhetoric, and it's then used at a rally you speak at 20 minutes later your response shouldn't be...

(through Carney) (to paraphrase) "Obama didn't say it...Obama wasn't onstage...Obama didnt hear it"

Now he's right, they weren't Obama's words, but if you're going to exercise the moral authority to call for an end to this kind of rhetoric shouldn't you be consistent in exercising it, and not just *shrug* and say "wasn't me" when it happens at an event you speak at 20 minutes later?
