He was at the event Jack, he spoke 20 minutes later, he praised Hoffa (and other union leaders)

This isn't some random event that he had absolutely no connection to. Does he need to scour the news for instances like this and issue condemnations, no. But when it happens at what's basically a union campaign for Obama and a reporter asks the administration for a comment that comment shouldn't be "wasn't us...so no real comment"

I mean you want to talk about a squandered "teachable moment" instead it reads like the typical "bad if the other guy does it" but "no comment if my guy did it" bullshit.
