After that, he's not required to comment on it again if he doesn't want to (I mean, think about it - it would be ridiculous for him to have to comment on every possible instance. he's not a kindergarten teacher), and if he doesn't comment on one side's use, it's not hypocritical to not comment on another's. It's not a particularly courageous stance, but it's neutral.
