it would have added the Patriots, Jets and whatever 2 would have won the tie breaks of the 9-7 NFC teams... Dallas/Tampa Bay/Chicago ... It also would keep more teams alive the last few weeks.

Even if a 7-9 team somehow made it in, they play the #1 team on the road and become the 16 seed people want to see wreck the brackets.
