I wasn't teased, exactly. I was just sort of forgotten. like, the few highschool classmates I friended on facebook are posting all these photos and

I don't know half the people in them.
part of it was the fact that I skipped school pretty frequently. part of it was that I was a "new kid" in a very old, established town -- newcomers really couldn't infiltrate the cliques. more, though, was that the people who were my closest match academically (college track, studious, etc) were just really mean.
I came from a montessori environment; I'm trained to learn, not to win at any cost. I was not equipped to survive the competition of very wealthy public schools.
I hated high school. I would sooner spork out my eyeballs than go to a reunion.
