NFC teams would probably need 8-8. AFC teams would usually need a winning record.

If the NFL adopted Stewie's playoff structure.
The past 3 years, home teams were 2-2 in the second round. But two of the next three years they were 4-0(the middle was 2-2). The two years before that they were 3-1. With the 1 road victor in the last one being the eventual champion. And that's as far back as I care to go.
I think people overreact too much to anomalies. Or what could be anomalies, but at the very least haven't proven themselves to be trends.
Of course, I'm fine with the current playoff system and the current overtime system. However, the replay and officiating systems could probably be improved.
