this dog park is actually perfect for that ... it's the on-leash time between the car and the enclosed area that's the worry. oh, speaking of fetching

she started fetching sticks when we were camping! she hadn't really swam yet but being a retriever took to it pretty naturally. she LOVED it. the funny thing was that sometimes she would get excited and forget how to swim and her skinny butt would sink and she would start batting and splashing madly with her front paws.
quite funny when she was trying to sneak up on a duck and lost her concentration.
