Best meaning most doable in situation:

1) Put a payment agreement in the divorce decree that shows her paying car payments

2) Sign a seperate agreement in addition to use to shield myself if I can

3) See how much umbrella coverage I can get. I can offset the cost by what I will save on my cost for her health coverage I will boot her off when the divorce is final.

Wait for friend to clear the debt on the car, if he follows through.
