Pregnancy sex and the trying to get pregnant sex was great sex. The complete absence of that

"what if?" Either you are trying or she already is and so there is nothing that can come as a surprise.
My own personal experience of course. My wife and I were very fortunate that things sparked quickly during the trying to get pregnant stage.
