If I were a celeb, I wonder if I'd get a rep as a jerk? I'd just want to be able to live my life.

Not that I want to be rude to people, but can you imagine not being able to go out to dinner or the mall without the expectation from people that they should be able to interrupt you for an autograph or picture?

I would take such innapropriate pictures with fans. It'd all be in fun though. -- nm

However, if you're the type to be out and about a lot...that would die down, I think. I have single point analysis to back up this point too!

I disagree. It might be a coarse way of saying it, but with the spoils of success you can't just ignore the downside of fame.

Totally agreed. It's a 2-way street, Celebs still deserve privacy and respect, and do not give that up by being famous.

If someone's in it for the fame, I can see this argument. I don't believe all famous people are in it for fame I guess.

I look at it this way, the fans are basically who are paying your salaries. You have to be grateful to them for letting you do what you do and live

No, I don't think that's right. Whether fame is the untimate goal or not, it's a reasonable by-product of success.

If the field is intrinsically tied to face/name recognition for success, then it's absolutely valid.
