I dislike a lot of what Selig has done, but to pretend the NFL hasn't succeed in spite of it's own authoritarian and ugly policy is sticking your

head in the sand, imo.
Between it's ignoring of steroid abuse, brain injuries, and it's reputation as the No Fun League, lets be real, the game and players sacrificing themselves for entertainment is the ticket, not the league management.
