Well, I'll give you this one silver lining: Cutler may not be established enough yet to flourish under a not offensive minded coach.

And McDaniels is from an organization and culture that very much values defense (even if the Pats have some weaknesses there now). So, assuming he gets the right coordinator (Mike Nolan, I'm hearing?) and they address defense in the off-season... I dunno. I wouldn't leap off the bridge yet, but I might go find the hole in the fence if I need it, know what I mean? :)
