The way I see it is they're not just trying to make a few bucks selling the collection but using the collection to

get people to shop in their stores instead of Wal-Mart or other places.
If the stuff is only on the shelves for a day then they're not getting the extra shopping that they need. They need people to come in for the collection and shop for the other things they need/want.
