I honestly have no clue. I even watched some of that show that explained it, and I still don't understand it.

I think Brady finished third in part due to one of the things I'm most unclear about. That pass to Welker didn't give him credit for all 99 yards, if I understand that part of it correctly. They give most of the credit to Welker. I don't know if they only give Brady credit for when the ball was in the air, or up until the Welker stiff-arm. I also don't know if Brady gets credit for the TD but he shouldn't if he doesn't get the yards.

It's what is one of the biggest flaws in the system for me. A QB might only get credit for the yards the ball is in the air, which penalizes him for recognizing a soft defense, a miss-match, or a wide open receiver.
