In response to "Let's face it. It's been class warfare since Reagan cut taxes on the rich. The middle class has been losing ever since. -- nm" by Mop (195 lbs)

Had an interesting conversation with a coworker this morning about this and I find the arguement that he had

interesting.

The mojority of the people in the country utilizing social services pay little or almost nothing for them.

I understand poor vs not middle class but his suggestion of a flat tax is still interesting to me. Everyone pays proportionally the same across the board against what they make.

So yes you would have high level income people not really using the services but drawing even a small amount of tax from the middle lower to lower tax brackets would make a huge difference.

The tax code could be very simplified. You pay x % minus very basic things like heathcare costs, housing interest ect and then everyone pays equally.

I know this is likely too simple to work but it sounds great.

In the end the rich need more incentive to become richer and then create jobs and opportunities vs just redistributing their wealth
