County fair report

We went Sunday. Had a lot of fun! Man, Pomona Fairplex is BIG, and so is the fair.

There was an Argentine food truck, of all things, and this ended up being our lunch. They served sandwich de lomito (a pork torta-like dealio, it's good!), chicken milanesa sandwich, chicken empanadas, "chimi" fries (good stuff). I had their abomination bacon wrapped hot dog empanada deep fried on a stick... and that was my weird deep fried food of the day.

Highlights include:

a Mexican themed "village" with a ranchera band playing.

The rides, which reminded me how to be scared of carnival rides, as I had't been on them in a long time. Something called G Force spun us around with our feet dangling and swung us high until we were upside down. It scared the living crap out of me and my twin. But the rest of the riders were pretty much teenage boys and girls. Nevertheless, the twin and I were the scaredyest little girls on that ride. It was hell, but I kept my eyes open and kind of want to go on it again! The good coaster was also decent. I'm sure my twenty year old self would have thought these rides were no big deal. I think in the future I will wait till nighttime to do rides... the park looks f*cking awesome at night.

I did enjoy not seeing one hipster in the whole place... a nice change of pace for my going out self.

There were fireworks at night, that was nice.
