With apologies for another FB post: I need help understanding how something on FB works.

With the new ticker on the right hand side, I'm noticing it tells me things like [97's friend] commented on [some person 97 doesn't know by 97's friend is friend's with] post. I can then click on it to see a pop-out of what the friend's friend posted, as well as my friend's comment to it.

What this means is that my friend's friends can presumably see what I post as well, anytime one of our common friends likes or comments on it.

If I want to stop 'friends of friends' from seeing this in the news ticker, can I?

Do you have all of your privacy settings set to "friends only"? I was told it will block that from happening if you switch from friends of friends to - jnine Sep 23, 11:50
It's all controlled by *your* permissions on your posts. If you post with friends of friends permissions then people can see - oblique Sep 23, 11:49 1
