that 10% only serves to marginalize the other 90%.

Without the war, the republicans wouldn't have had an excuse to push through their unprecedented radical expansion of federal executive power. Heck, they wouldn't have even been reelected in 2004, most likely. Lieberman is not a Democrat. He left the party to run as an independent. It only made sense to act as if he were still a democrat when he was the 51st vote in the Senate. That will no longer be the case. And his campaigning for McCain has gone far beyond simply thinking he's the better candidate. He can caucus with whomever he likes, but he shouldn't expect to be treated like a member of a party he has abandoned.
