David - if you're around, Kindle w/ad talk from earlier.

I have no problems with the ads at all. They are screensavers only so it's not like there is anything in the way when I'm reading. There seem to be 3 or 4 per day, so when I turn the Kindle on that day I will turn it on and off 4 consecutive times and every ad will show up.

There aren't a ton of ads that I've found to be perfect for me, but there's still been a decent amount. I think if you have an Amazon credit card you might make out better, since some of them are specific to having an Amazon card. Others have been large offers that I'd never use - like $300 off a vacation booking through some site.

Today's ads, for example, are:
* Save $10 on $20 of pet supplies at Wag.com
* Save 50% on a Kindle power adapter and USB cable at Amazon
* ad for AT&T
* Save $10 on a $25 purchase of select season one TV shows on DVD and Blu-Ray
* Get the Amazon Rewards Credit Card and receive a $50 Amazon gift card
* ad for the movie Anonymous ("Was Shakespeare a Fraud?")
