NFL scouts have had this same problem with QBs. Projecting who can handle the limelight of being The Guy on an NFL team in a major city is impossible.

The one baseball maxim I've always believed is that good pitching beats good hitting, great hitting beats good pitching and great pitching beats even the best hitting. The Yankees have tremendous hitters across the board but their pitching isn't elite. I think there were 8th out of 30 in runs allowed. I was looking at it earlier and I was struggling to come up with a magic fix. The bullpen is getting there but the starters don't seem like the starters a team with New York's payroll should have.
