scales come in handy for baking, and smoking or grilling if you brine or do other things to the meat in advance. -- nm

I use mine all the time for food, and also for knitting. I can weigh an item and convert weight to yards of yarn. -- nm

you can eye ball half a box or bag, then divide that by half again to get four servings out of one container, use a rubber band or baggie for the rest -- nm

I could, but a 2oz serving is 1/7th of a box. Would be so much easier if they'd list cups per serving. -- nm
