the back room of shoes is like a maze and and there's an upstairs part and before lynne left, she showed me how to see if shoes were up or down

but neglected to tell me where the stairs were. and they're hidden -- like *really* hidden -- so the first time I had to go upstairs to get shoes, I was in the back forever and came out and was had to apologize for taking so long and admit that I was a moron and that I couldn't find the stairs.
I mean, who can't find the stairs??
