I'm still debating whether to publicly out people who don't follow through - while some people truly don't seem to give a shit or whatever, it doesn't apply to everyone. So outing someone because, say, they lost their job after getting their name/assignment, or having some sort of personal crisis that puts everything else on hold, etc. - that kind of stuff is difficult enough without outing them for not buying a t-shirt or a gift or whatever. Stuff happens. And it's hard to guess sometimes whether it's just because the non-participant was lazy, or indifferent, or whatever - or if there is a valid reason why they can't follow through.
I've been told that people who don't follow through usually don't bother signing up again. So I don't think there are very many repeat offenders. People seem to know not to sign up again if they have already failed to follow through once.
I don't know. I'm new at this, and not sure what to do. If it were up to Will, I'd rat all of the slackers out. :)

It's also not unheard of for things to get lost in shipment. If the stalker is made aware they're package has not arrived they can trace or whatever. -- nm

Unsolicited opinion: I've felt comments like "So and so, I've talked with your stalker about your gift and it may be delayed" is an equitable solution

Actually, I think it *should* be made known that the lack of stalk is due to a job loss or a personal crisis. That's better than thinking they're a
