A long Bub LYC.

Back story: As we learned in Finding Nemo, all drains lead to the ocean (pronounced ohchen, I don't know why).

The Bub has an impressive arsenal of tub toys to choose from. Each night at bathtime I give him a number he can have in the tub, based on a complex formula that factors in how late it is/how much time he has, how good he has been, etc.

Last night, he got 10. Now with his 10 he could choose 10 fish/cars/guys or he could use them as credits to buy bigger prizes. He chose to use 4 of them to get his Hot Wheels island set. It floats and has ramps for cars, trees and a squirter which he likes to take the tube off.

After bath and playtime is up, he hand me each item and I dry it off, except for the island which just stays in the tub as it is too massive to dry by hand.

I hold him and we sit while the water drains out. Last night was an extra full bath, which was taking extra long. He suddenly screams, "LOOK!!!!" he had removed the tube form the island and it was being sucked into the drain. Luckily it was across the drain so I knew it was actually safe.

I go into panic mode and we scoot over to get it. I tug and yell, "It' stuck! The drain is winning!!!" He puts both of his feet on the side of the tub, grabs my arm, pulls as hard as he can and yells, "NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" and we pulled it out of the water.

Awesome to see him jump to action in a "panic" situation.

And now, I go get ready for my meeting.
