They are selling the fans a lie: that they are going to get some hardnosed manager to come in and whip these fuckers into shape, and ignoring the fact that those managers don't exist in baseball anymore, and haven't for years. They are going to bring in someone almost exactly like Tito, but whose name isn't Tito, and kick Tito in the nutsack repeatedly on his way to the airport, because it's a convenient way to placate the majority of the fanbase. It's pretty effed up.
