Grady got fired for the entirety of the season. He easily lost them 10 games with his bullpen calls.
But even if he did get fired for one inning...it was a fairly brutal inning. There's no fault in sticking with a guy. There is a problem with sticking with a guy who's BAA balloons after 100 pitches and you let him throw 100+ pitches, in a playoff game, to the most hated rival.
