maybe he works for a nonprofit and gets paid peanuts to save the world. I don't know.

all I know is that I was never pissed off or resentful when matt was out of work and too broke to pay rent. it all comes out in the wash: division of labor, the future, favors called in.
I didn't care what it took to stay together. it was the only important thing.
like this chick, too, I was smart to choose a place I could afford on my own should I have needed to long-term.
